With a price tag of $3.8 million (Dh13.9 million), the heart-shaped diamond-encrusted purse is the most expensive handbag in the world. And that's the Guinness Book of World Records saying so. It was on display at the Pearl Lounge, Dubai World Trade Centre, during the exhibition.
Handcrafted from 18K gold and covered with 4,517 diamonds weighing 381 carats, this piece is absolutely breathtaking. Designed by Robert Mouawad, member of the third generation of the renowned Mouawad family, the purse was hand-crafted by ten highly skilled artisans who worked for 8,800 hours. It was on a globe-trotting tour and after wowing jewellery connoisseurs in Saudi Arabia, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Beirut and Los Angeles it returned to Dubai.
