Not getting their maid and driver verified proved expensive for a doctor couple as the servants fled after stealing Rs 10 lakh in cash and a jewellery worth Rs 1 lakh. A case has been filed at Sanganer police station late on Friday night.
"On Friday, Dr Rekha Chedawat and Dr Rakesh Chedawat had gone for duty at Apex hospital. Babita tried to contact her driver Satish Rajput after work. When the driver did not respond she sought the help of her husband and when they reached home they were stunned to see everything scattered, almirahs and safes broken," the investigating officer at Sanganer police station said on Saturday.
